First-generation:
Must be a First-Generation college student.
Essay: “How has being a First-Generation college student impacted your academic experience?" 150 Words.
Career Essay: “Why do you want to study/pursue the degree you are interested in?” 150 Words.
New Inductee:
Must be inducted in the Fall Semester as a Tau Sigma member.
One name will be drawn from a randomized electronic drawing.
Most Active:
The winner will be notified based on demonstrated involvement in Tau Sigma according to a point system.
Most Active Member: Scholarship Point System
Attending volunteering event: 5 Points for each event
Attending in Person Events: 3 Point for each event
Attending Events over zoom: 2 Point for each event
Wearing merch: 1 Point
Missing an event, that they RSVP’d to be in-person (without proper excuse) -3 Point.
Community Service: “What do you do to better your community?” 150 Words.
Your Overall Character: “What have you learned about yourself throughout your college career thus far and throughout your experience as a transfer student?" 150 Words.
Self-Care Essay: “What is your self-care routine and how do you make time for yourself?” 150 Words.
Social Media:
Attend Tau sigma event and post it on social media: 1 Point for each event
* Each scholarship is worth $100.
